Aloha HFUU Team,
Our next meeting is Wednesday, May 9th, at the Anahola Clubhouse.
  • 6:00pm: Pule/ Potluck
  • 6:30pm: "After the Flood"- Disaster preparation for the farm. In light of recent event s, we will be discussing how good planning and preparation can build resiliency and survivability into our agricultural systems. We will be discussing lessons learned in the recent rains, and the next steps on our own farms and in the regions that we farm to respond to the needs of our own family farms and in helping our community cope with climate change events in the future. A panel of affected farmers will present what they have learned with lots of talk story to follow.
  • 6:30pm: Announcing the creation of the "Kauai Disaster Relief Fund" of HFUU.This program and funds will be administered by Anny Bruch of Kauai and our HFUU Foundation, HFUF. Anny will discussour programs to support member and community needs.
  • 8:00pm: Pau
Please come out and support our chapter, and learn the many ways that HFUU Kauai can help our local family farmers weather the storms ahead.
