Description
Though originally from China, tea (Camellia sinensis) is the most widely consumed beverage in the world after water. Only recently has its popularity grown in the United States. As demand for premium teas increase across the globe, we ask tea expert David DeCandia: How do sustainability, organics, and a changing global market affect communities in tea producing countries, such as Sri Lanka & an island like Maui? How can lessons learned from these communities shape our niche tea industry here in Hawai`i? We invite you to join us in this stimulating talk and informative tea tasting experience of select Ceylon (Sri Lankan) and Hawaii teas. The course is $39. Enroll Now
